This online experiment is here to give those interested in this project a glimpse of what is in development. This interactive, multimedia timeline features a visual presentation of intellectual history and Christian theology. On each page, covering a 10 or 20 year period, religious events and works are displayed at the bottom half of the page and cultural and philosophical milestones at the top half. In this way, you can clearly see the relationship between what is significant culturally and historically in a particular period, and how it relates to the religious thought of the time.

THE MULTIMEDIA DIMENSION

The illustrated timeline is just the outer skin of this project, because below the surface there will be a host of multimedia resources. If when moving your mouse across the page an item on the timeline is highlighted, you can click on it to reveal a feature page on that person or subject, with video footage by specialists on the topic.
